این جلد ششم، ۲۲۶ گونه از ۳۲ تیره گیاهان دارویی را توصیف می کند که معمولاً در طب چینی مورد استفاده قرار می گیرند. مهمترین گونه ها عبارتند از: Aquilaria sinensis و Daphne genkwa از تیره Thymelaeaceae؛ Benincasa hispida، Siraitia grosvenorii، Trichosanthes kirilowii و Trichosanthes rosthornii از تیره Cucurbitaceae؛ Camellia sinensis از تیره Theaceae؛ Cleistocalyx operculatus، Eugenia caryophyllata و Rhodomyrtus tomentosa از تیره Myrtaceae؛ Osbeckia chinensis از تیره Melastomataceae؛ Quisqualis indica و Terminalia chebula از تیره Combretaceae؛ Hypericum japonicum از تیره Hypericaceae؛ Microcos paniculata از تیره Tiliaceae؛ Hibiscus mutabilis از تیره Malvaceae؛ Croton crassifolius، C. lachnocarpus، C. tiglium، Euphorbia humifusa، E. lathyris، E. pekinensis، Phyllanthus emblica و Sauropus spatulifolius از تیره Euphorbiaceae.

در مورد هر گونه، نام های علمی، نام های دارویی، مورفولوژی، زیستگاه ها، پراکنش، روش های تهیه و فرآوری این گیاهان دارویی، محتوای خواص دارویی، اثرات درمانی، نحوه مصرف و مقدار مصرف این گیاهان دارویی معرفی شده و تصاویر رنگی ویرایش نشده و تصاویری از داروهای گیاهی بخشی از هر گونه ضمیمه شده است.

این مجموعه کتاب در مجموع دارای ۱۰ جلد است که بیش از ۲۰۰۰ نوع داروی چینی که معمولاً استفاده می شوند را پوشش می دهد. این جلدها نه تنها عملکرد و برخی از نسخه های داروها را معرفی می کنند، بلکه ویژگی های بیولوژیکی آن ها را نیز به تفصیل همراه با عکس های واضح از زیستگاه ها معرفی می کنند، به طوری که خوانندگان می توانند آن ها را در مزرعه شناسایی کنند. این کتاب ها علاوه بر محیط رشد، مناطق پراکنش و سایر اطلاعات را برای تسهیل تحقیقات و سایر کاربردها شرح می دهند. این جلدها برای خوانندگان با علایق عمومی هدف قرار داده شده اند و همچنین از ارزش مرجع بالایی برای محققان علمی و معلمان برخوردار هستند. می توان از آن به عنوان راهنمای محققان، پزشکان بالینی و دانشجویان در بخش داروسازی و طب سنتی چینی استفاده کرد.

This sixth volume describes 226 species of 32 families of medicinal plants, which are commonly used in Chinese medicine. The most important species are Aquilaria sinensis and Daphne genkwa of Thymelaeaceae; Benincasa hispida, Siraitia grosvenorii, Trichosanthes kirilowii and Trichosanthes rosthornii of Cucurbitaceae; Camellia sinensis of Theaceae; Cleistocalyx operculatus, Eugenia caryophyllata and Rhodomyrtus tomentosa of Myrtaceae; Osbeckia chinensis of Melastomataceae; Quisqualis indica and Terminalia chebula of Combretaceae; Hypericum japonicum of Hypericaceae; Microcos paniculata of Tiliaceae; Hibiscus mutabilis of Malvaceae; Croton crassifolius, C. lachnocarpus, C. tiglium, Euphorbia humifusa, E. lathyris, E. pekinensis, Phyllanthus emblica and Sauropus spatulifolius of Euphorbiaceae.

In each specie, it introduces the scientific names, medicinal names, morphologies, habitats, distributions, acquisition and processing methods of these medicinal plants, the content of medicinal properties, therapeutic effects, usage and dosage of these medicinal plants, and attaches unedited color pictures and pictures of part herbal medicines of each species.

This book series has 10 volumes in total, which covers over 2000 kinds of Chinese medicines that are commonly used. These volumes not only introduce the efficacy function and some prescriptions of the medicines, but also introduce the biological characteristics of them in detail with clear photos of the habitats, so that readers can identify them in the field.
